The Kingfisher Lodge will be delighted in helping you to become acquainted with Uganda, its people and its flora and fauna in a sensitive way, so that local people and the environment will not be effected. We are an friendly family hotel with a German management, located western Uganda just outside the Queen Elizabeth National Park, 250 meters above the plains, having a spectacular view of the Park, Lake Edward and Lake George, the Kazinga channel and the Rwenzoris.
Where is the Lodge?
The Lodge is located in western Uganda, just outside the Queen Elizabeth National Park at Kichwamba escapment with a strategic view of the park. If you are lucky, you may even see elephants grazing just in a distance of some few hundred meters. In total there are 18 rooms.
Accommodation Options
Bandas
Like our Resort in Jinja, the Kingfisher Lodge in Kichwamba depicts ancient Africa especially Uganda. Our Bandas are bigger and some of them are build as double storeys, so that our guests can have an even better view over the park from their terrace.
Still, the Bandas are built in an African village style resembling typical huts that existed in former times. That is seen in our round shapes and the grass roofs. However, the Banda “huts” are made comfortable to meet western standards.
The Lodge has 2 Family Units, 2 Triple Rooms, 3 Twin Rooms (separate beds), 6 Double Rooms, 2 Single Rooms and 1 Suite. Thus we can accommodate up to 36 people. Our new meeting room, (30 PAX capacity) can be used for seminars or workshops in a peaceful atmosphere.

Campsite
There is no camping site as per now.
Facilities
The Restaurant
Our restaurant has a nice variety of meals and a very beautiful view over the park. It is open daily from 7am – 10pm and includes also a bar. The prices for a large menu range between 18000-20000 for a main course. Our breakfast is english/continental.
Pool
The adult and children pools are functional with a unique design. In future there will be even another pool, connected to the adults pool by a flume.
Gardens
A variety of flowers is shown, which creates a relaxing atmosphere with an amazing view. Enjoy your drinks and food face to face with pure nature and the Rwenzoris skyline.
Conference Facilities
The Kingfisher Lodge Kichwamba can accommodate seminars, too. Therefor we have a seminar room (30 PAX. capacity). For more information on seminars, feel free to contact us.
