Located in the heart of Queen Elizabeth National Park, Bush Lodge is conveniently situated in the Eastern part of the Kyambura sector. The ecological tranquil of Bush Lodge forms an excellent base for your safari experience within the world biosphere reserve.
The Bush Lodge is part of the Nature Lodges, owners of several intimate small-sized lodges and campsites spread over Uganda’s national Parks. The lodge was built to blend into its natural surroundings and to provide guests with privacy to enhance their African Safari experience. The lodge seats in the scenic view of the magnificent Kazinga channel, and offers a great stay within the hub of a memorable view of wildlife.
During your stay at the Bush Lodge you will discover that humans are not the only guests welcomed at the lodge but also amazing wildlife including hippos, elephants, warthogs, hyenas and several antelopes that are always registered as daily guests.
Accommodation
Bush Lodge consists of three different categories of facilities.
These are Bandas, self-contained safari tents and non-self-contained safari tents. There are 12 bandas facilities which are located among indigenous savannah woods. The Bandas were built at a raised platform consisting of Canvas and natural materials. Large windows with mosquito nets offer a wonderful view and ensures guests a most natural safari experience in Uganda’s wilderness. The Bandas provide private terraces overlooking the seasonal Kamera River. An eco-toilet as well as an outside shower are available.
There are 2 Self-contained safari tents consisting of en-suite bathrooms, added privacy, as they are located a distance for the main lodge. These tents are ideals for travelers with family and those with cars. And there are 10 non self-contained tents that offer budget and descent option of accommodation.
Each tented unit is self-contained and even has the novelty of dual shower heads for its guests. You can take a shower underneath the stars in the Wild-something quite different.
All tents are placed under a grass thatched roof which creates your privacy terrace and provide some welcome shade. The tents share a communal ablution block with showers and flushing toilets.
Restaurant and Bar
The food is good, and prepared on site by able staff. The service is friendly and accommodating and you are provided for in a capable fashion. Bush lodge has a romantic restaurant with a large dining tents. The dinning tent is set overlooking the Kazinga channel and Rwenzori mountain ranges.
In the evenings though, when weather allows, can enjoy the picnic dinner under the sun set or under the light flames of a starlit dinner. Paraffin lights and a campfire create a cozy setting from where your 4 course dinner will be served. Early wake up calls with coffee or tea, packed breakfasts or lunches can all be organized according to your planning of the day.
The bar presents a pot of cock tail drinks, and serving both soft and hard drinks. The bar serves both local and international beers and spirit.
