Buffalo Safari Lodge is one of the best mid range lodges in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Located near the Katunguru Bridge the lodge is set near the magical Kazinga channel, 1km off Kasese-Mbarara Road, Western Uganda. The lodge has both standard and deluxe cottages, making a total of 17 rooms currently.
Rated 3 star, Buffalo Safari Lodge is a deluxe lodge ideal for stays for even larger groups of up to 20 guests at a time. The lodge boasts of a serene environment comprising of spectacular flora and fauna. Common animals sighted near the lodge are elephants, buffaloes, hippos, warthogs and a variety of birds.
Buffalo Lodge has world class and experienced staff, a fully stocked bar and restaurant, with a lounge that gives guests and visitors a spectacular view of Queen Elizabeth park nearby, and Lakes Edward and George.
The thatched African stylized lodge is set on 25 hectares of landscape in the wilderness. The lodge can be accessed by either road or air transport to Kasese Airstrip. The drive can take approximately 5-6 hours (370km) drive from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth national park.
Accommodation
Buffalo Safari Lodge is comprised of 17 beautiful designed rooms built in African traditional style of thatched roof. These rooms include deluxe, standard, Executive in Singles, double, twin and family cottages. Rooms here are perfectly furnished and decorated to meet guest’s personal fondness with mosquito nets, air conditioning, satellites, Flat screen TV’s, driers, and other facilities.
Rooms contain en suite facilities like; flushing toilets, hot and cold showers. All rooms have sitting areas, terraces and balconies that gives a panoramic view of the savannah plains, Kazinga channel, wildlife other surrounding areas. Rooms have excellent and comfortable beddings with king sized bed, there is fireplace at the lodge that provides warmth during cold periods to guests staying there.
Price
Buffalo Safari Lodge room rates starts at $300 and above per night per person, and when the peak season draws the rates go slightly high.

A restaurant that serves different delicious meal to meet visitors choice both local and international meals. Breakfasts in the bush, lunch and dinner served by well trained and organized staff.
